The list of nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2020 has been revealed. The acts in consideration are listed below:

Thin Lizzy
Pat Benatar
Dave Matthews Band
Depeche Mode
The Doobie Brothers
Whitney Houston
Kraftwerk
MC5
Motörhead
Nine Inch Nails
The Notorious B.I.G.
Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
Todd Rundgren
Soundgarden
T.Rex

To be eligible for the Rock Hall, an artist/band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

Fans who want to make their voices heard can vote via Google. Just search “Vote Rock Hall 2020,” or any nominee by name plus the word “vote” and a ballot for that act will be cast. The cutoff date is January 10. Votes can also be cast at rockhall.com. The top five artists selected by the public will comprise a "fans' ballot" that will be tallied along with other votes to choose the 2020 inductees.

While we debate over who should be in and who should be out, let's take a moment and appreciate one of the greatest Rock and Roll Hall of Fame moments of all-time: the all-star jam of 2007, featuring both Prince and Tom Petty.
