Dire Straits fans now have one less reason to get up and adjust their turntables or CD shelves: a few rare single and EP-only tracks have suddenly been made available to stream.
The six releases span through the band's decade-plus together and offer nearly a dozen tracks that have been hard (or impossible) to find on CD. Here's a look at them all!
"Sultans of Swing": the band's breakthrough debut single is now available not only in its original single mix, but with its original B-side, a live cut called "Eastbound Train" that never appeared on an album.

"Tunnel of Love": the final single to third album Making Movies was split into two parts for its standalone release. You can now hear those two parts below - no need to flip a record over!
"Private Investigations": this slightly edited version of the single from 1982's Love Over Gold features another hard-to-find track: the non-album B-side "Badges, Posters, Stickers, T-Shirts."
ExtendeDancEPlay: perhaps the rarest of these releases, this 1983 EP featured three tracks that were never on any album - and only lead track "Twisting by the Pool" has ever been released on CD. That means "Two Young Lovers" and "If I Had You" are finally more widely available than they've been for nearly 40 years!
"Calling Elvis": we now move to the era of the final Dire Straits album, 1991's On Every Street. By this time, singles were coming out on CD, usually with an extra track that couldn't be found anywhere else; for lead single "Calling Elvis," that rarity was called "Millionaire Blues," and it sat next to album track "Iron Hand."
"Heavy Fuel": A similar case happened for On Every Street's second single: album cut "Planet of New Orleans" and non-album track "Kingdom Come" ended up on the "Heavy Fuel" CD single - now in your streaming service, no disc required.
