The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee canceled five planned festival appearances in August, including Austin City Limits, JazzFest in New Orleans and BottleRock Napa, out of concern for everyone's safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "I want everyone to be safe and healthy," she stated at the time. "While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious...my primary goal is to keep healthy so I can continue singing for the next decade or longer."

Nicks will close the final night of the four-day festival, taking place June 16-19. Other headliners include rock group Tool, country stars The Chicks, and rappers J. Cole, 21 Savage and Roddy Ricch. Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats and Herbie Hancock are among the dozens of performers slated for the festival, along with a "superjam" curated by Bleachers frontman/pop producer Jack Antonoff. Tickets will go on sale Thursday, Jan. 13.

This will be the first Bonnaroo since 2019; 2020's festival was canceled due to COVID-19, and 2021's was nixed after Hurricane Ida dumped torrents of rain on the festival grounds.
