Red Hot Chili Peppers Getting Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Ahead of the new Red Hot Chili Peppers, the rock band will receive one of entertainment's highest honors: a star on the Hollywood Rock of Fame.

The California quartet will receive the 2,717th star on the Walk of Fame next Thursday, March 31, adjacent to the recently-reopened Amoeba Music on Hollywood Boulevard. All four members of the band - singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith - will be present for the dedication ceremony, alongside funk legend George Clinton (who produced the band's 1985 album Freaky Styley), musician and close friend Bob Forrest, and actor/fan Woody Harrelson,

The honor, of course, comes a day ahead of the release of Unlimited Love, the Chili Peppers' first album since 2016. Frusciante, the band's longest-tenured guitarist, makes a triumphant return to the band after a decade away; the album is also produced by Rick Rubin, who oversaw all the band's albums between mainstream breakthrough Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991) and I'm with You (2011).
