The Brilliant Adventure EP features two unreleased studio tracks - an early version of fan favorite "I'm Afraid of Americans" called "Johnny Downloader" and an alternative mix of "I Have Not Been to Oxford Town" from 1995's 1. Outside. The EP is additionally backed by two live recordings from 1995, recorded at the Shakespeare Festival in New York City with pianist Mike Garson.
