With a distinctive, gritty voice that was at home among rock and soul favorites, Robert Palmer is still missed by fans around the world. The British singer first endeared himself to American audiences with hits like "Every Kinda People" and "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)" in the late '70s before taking the world by storm in the '80s as frontman for supergroup The Power Station and sensuous pop-rocker with a tried-and-true music video aesthetic.

In honor of Palmer's incredible career and killer live energy, take a break and enjoy a great full concert performance of his. This broadcast comes from German television program Musikladen and was recorded in 1979, just after the release of his fifth album Secrets, which featured "Bad Case of Loving You." That song is played here by Palmer and his band, as well as the unforgettable triple-play of "Sailin' Shoes" and "Hey Julia" - both written by Lowell George of Little Feat - and the Allen Toussaint-penned title track to debut album Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley.

If you know Palmer through his great work in the '80s, this show is a solid reminder that he always was that good.
