Heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, 71, revealed Tuesday he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

In an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, the rocker shared he has been battling the nervous system disorder since last February, following a tumultuous series of health setbacks.

“I found out I have a mild form of … what is it?” the singer asked his wife, Sharon, in the interview. “PRKN 2, which is a form of Parkinson’s,” she answered. “There’s so many different types of Parkinson’s. It’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. It’s like you have a good day, a good day and then a really bad day.”

Osbourne has been treating the disease with medication, but felt guilty withholding the diagnosis from his fans.

Osbourne added he has been experiencing other symptoms that may or may not correlate to Parkinson's, as he detailed “I got a numbness down this arm for the surgery; my legs keep going cold."

He wasn't sure if that was related to his diagnosis -- "because they cut nerves when they did the surgery," he shared. "I’d never heard of nerve pain, and it’s a weird feeling.”

Comparing his fans to being his "air," the Prince of Darkness shared that talking about the disease made him feel lighter. “I feel better now that I’ve owned up to the fact that I have a case of Parkinson’s,” he described. “And I just hope [my fans] hang on and they’re there for me because I need them.”

There was no mention of intentions to cancel his upcoming North America 'No more Tours 2' tour, scheduled to kick off May in Atlanta. Joining Ozzy Osbourne on his 2020 tour calendar are special guests Marilyn Manson for North American dates and Judas Priest on the European leg.
