Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets is coming out of the cupboard for some additional tour dates.

The former Pink Floyd drummer announced yesterday (March 21) that a host of gigs with Saucerful of Secrets - a collective of former bandmates and ace musicians performing Pink Floyd's early, pre-Dark Side of the Moon material - would take place in North America during the fall. Many of the dates, dubbed the Echoes Tour, were previously planned to take place in January and February 2022, but were delayed amidst another surge of COVID-19 cases. Of the previously-planned dates, three changed venues and six had to be canceled due to the venues not being available; but eight additional dates have been added as well.

"We are really looking forward to returning to North America, and we're happy to be able to now announce these new dates for later this year," a statement from Mason read. "We wanted to make sure to come back when it's safe for our fans, the band and our crew."

Formed in 2018, Saucerful of Secrets features Mason and bassist Guy Pratt (who joined Pink Floyd after Roger Waters' departure) alongside keyboardist Dom Beken and guitarists Gary Kemp (yes, the co-founder of new wave group Spandau Ballet) and Lee Harris (of Ian Dury and The Blockheads) performing material from Pink Floyd's earliest albums of the late '60s and early '70s. The group began performing across Europe in 2018 (a live album and concert video from London's The Roundhouse, whose first concert in 1966 featured Pink Floyd, was released in 2020); from there, the group toured America in 2019, including a memorable date at The Beacon Theatre in New York in which original Pink Floyd bassist Waters appeared onstage with the group. A planned second tour of Europe was canceled due to the initial COVID-19 pandemic, now set to take place from April to July.
