Marianne Faithfull Thanks Doctors and Nurses Who Saved Her Life

Having recently overcome a serious battle with coronavirus, Marianne Faithfull is taking to Twitter to express her heartfelt gratitude to the medical team who helped her fight COVID-19.

“I would like to say to all the people who cared for me and thought of me, who sent me love, people I know, people I have never met, thank you for helping me to get better,” she shared on Twitter alongside a picture of her resting.

She continued, “I want to thank the doctors and nurses who were so good and basically saved my life! Thank you all again for all your care, love, thoughts, prayers and wishes.”

In early April, the 73-year-old singer had tested positive for coronavirus and been hospitalized for treatment. Her management shared that she was responding to treatment at the time.

She was discharged a couple weeks later, "22 days after being admitted suffering from the symptoms of Covid-19," her reps had shared. "She will continue to recuperate in London."
