Bob Dylan archivists have shared a piece of rock and roll history: Johnny Cash performing with Bob Dylan on the song "Wanted Man," a tune Dylan wrote for Cash.

The unearthed recording is set to be part of the forthcoming box set, Bob Dylan (Featuring Johnny Cash) – Travelin’ Thru, 1967-1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 15. The collection is set for release on November 1.

The song is best known for the version found on Cash's legendary At San Quentin live album, which was recorded only a week or so prior during the session where this track was captured. Playing guitar on the recording: the icon Carl Perkins.

The casual nature of the session is caught on the song, with June Carter Cash heard talking to Johnny at the start of the track. Listen to it below.
