They Might Be Giants have been one of the most unpredictable alt-rock acts for nearly 40 years. Half of the iconic duo sits down this week to talk about their work on the Rhino Podcast.

John Flansburgh, who's blown minds in concert and on record alongside John Linnell as TMBG since 1982, sits down with Rich Mahan and John Hughes to talk about the band's many flights of fancy, from leaving songs on answering machines to picking up two Grammy Awards for children's albums. Next month, the duo are releasing a new album called BOOK; if that title doesn't make sense, it might be helpful to know that it's coming packed into a 144-page book of photographs and lyrics.

Whether you discovered them in the Tiny Toon Adventures days or raised your kids on the sounds of No!, you'll have a fun time listening to one of the Johns break it all down. Hear it here or wherever you find your podcasts!
