The voice of Whitesnake recently sat down with both products (and his trusty "Excalibur" to remove the shrink wrap) and took fans through the contents of each set. As you might already know, the album has been newly remixed for this set (featuring new parts by guitarist Joel Hoekstra and former Dream Theater keyboardist Derek Sherinian) and available as either the first disc of the 4CD/1DVD set or across both discs of the silver vinyl set.

As for the rest of the box, it features a deep dive into the history of the album, including early studio arrangements, a disc of song "evolutions" (Coverdale delights in sharing positive fan reactions to similar discs in previous box sets), a dozen music videos and the original remastered album. There's even a hardcover book, replica tour program and poster inside!

Fans' restlessness will be rewarded when these sets hit stores Oct. 29.
