Reported by Cleveland.com, representatives for Hagar have confirmed that the performance has been shut down "due [to] city/state regulations on public gatherings."

Hagar and his band were slated to take the stage during the Rockin' Fore The Kids annual charity fundraiser, benefitting organizations like MusiCares and local food banks. Tickets for the show, which sold $250 a pop, were listed as sold out as of Thursday.

Earlier this year, the Red Rocker incited controversy when he shared he'd "rather personally get sick and even personally die, if that's what it takes" for the live concert industry to get back on the road. He later reassured fans that that any potential plans for future touring would be "safe and responsible."

This marks the second Hagar & the Circle to be cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19 - the first being Hagar's August performance at Blossom Music Center in Ohio.
