Geddy Lee knows bass. The legendary Rush frontman is renowned as a master bass player, and over the years has amassed an enviable collection of vintage instruments dating back to the 1950s. Lee poured all of that musical knowledge into Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass, and he's hitting the road on a short tour to promote the tome.

"I'm a collector by nature and a man of many passions. I'm a bit of an extreme character in that regard: when something catches my interest, I have to get to know it in a total sense, and I'm a bit of a completist when it comes to the things I collect," Lee told Classic Rock earlier this year about the inspiration behind the book. "There are a lot of great, beautiful books on vintage guitars, but I felt there wasn't one real companion for the electric bass collector of the electric bass lover."
