How have you been keeping active during quarantine? Paul McCartney has put us all to shame by recording a new album over the last seven months - and it's due out in December.
Though it's titled McCartney III, the new record is his 18th solo release. But the album is, of course, titled in the spirit of the former Beatle's solo debut, 1970's McCartney, and 1980's McCartney II. All three records share the same personnel: just Paul himself, playing all instruments in his home studio.

The project began while McCartney and family were hunkered down on his farm in Sussex, England - "made in Rockdown," as he calls it. "I had to do a little bit of work on some film music...and then when it was done, I thought, ‘What will I do next?’" McCartney said in a statement. "I had some stuff I’d worked on over the years, but sometimes time would run out and it would be left half-finished. So I started thinking about what I had."
Among those things was an outtake created in the '90s with Beatles producer George Martin called "When Winter Comes," which became the album opener, "Long-Tailed Winter Bird." "When Winter Comes," featuring a new outro called "Winter Bird," will close the album.

Additional tracks have not been confirmed, but McCartney III will be out on CD, vinyl and digital December 11.
