America, this note's for you. Canadian-born Neil Young, with wife Daryl Hannah by his side, became an America citizen yesterday (Jan. 22) at the Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles. TMZ captured the couple leaving the Oath Ceremony, with the rock legend happily waving an American flag.

Young shared the good news on his official website with a post declaring, "I'm Happy to Report I'm In!!" The post includes a photo of Young saluting an American flag. He's standing in front of a table with a sign hanging from it: "Democrats Register to Vote Here."

Young's path to American citizenship wasn't all smooth sailing. The rocker was delayed when he admitted to smoking marijuana. He's apparently got things all cleared up, as he's now officially a citizen of the United State. It was then that Young revealed that he was most looking forward to the chance to " vote my conscience on Donald J. Trump and his fellow American candidates, (as yet unnamed)."
