Heavy metal icons Iron Maiden have released 33 new dates in Australia, Japan, Europe and Russia for the spring and summer of 2020.

Joining them in this new leg are special guests Killswitch Engage, with Airbourne, Alter Bridge, Avatar, Disturbed, Within Temptation, and Lord of the Lost joining on select dates in Europe.

The setlist spans across the entirety of Iron Maiden's career, including the opening number, "Aces High," songs from when Blaze Bayley fronted the band, a heavy selection of 1980's releases and a scattered range of more recent album material.

Tracing Maiden's 2019 journey throughout North, South and Central America as well as their trek throughout Europe during summer 2018, the band has already performed their "Legacy of the Beast" Tour to nearly 2 million fans around the world.

Said Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson, "We've had a fantastic time on the 'Legacy' tour so far, and the reaction everywhere to the stage show and all the crazy props (and Eddie!) I get to play with has been phenomenal."

"The whole band has been having such fun, we're really excited to bring this production back out on the road next year."

The tour concept was inspired by Maiden's mobile game and comic book, with the production set design featuring a World War II Spitfire fighter plane, and Dickinson brandishing a flamethrower.

Added bassist Steve Harris, "Every gig's been great, they're all different and have all been bloody good. The hardcore fans that have followed us everywhere, I just want to thank them because they've been amazing."

Ticket sales are available on their website and presales for this third leg are available for members of the Iron Maiden Fan Club this weekend, with full details soon available here.

In the meantime, fans can pacify their anticipation of the British band's 2020 tour with the  release of their fourth (and final) part of their Studio Collection Remastered set on November 22, available for pre-order here.
