From one legendary rock and roll muse to another. Actress Lucy Boynton, who starred as Freddie Mercury's longtime companion, Mary Austin, in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, has been tapped to take on the considerable role of legendary singer, Marianne Faithfull.

Boynton is also poised to serve as executive producer on the project, which Deadline reports is scheduled to star filming next summer.

Born to a family of actual aristocrats, Faithfull first achieved fame in 1964 with the hit single, "As Tears Go By." Written by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and then-Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham, the song climbed as high as #22 on the Hot 100 in January 1965.

Faithfull would become legendary as Mick Jagger's muse during the mid-'60s, inspiring him to write some of the band's biggest hits. Spiraling into drug addiction and eventually out of the Stones' orbit, Faithfull would stage a miraculous comeback in the 1970s, culminating in the famous 1979 full-length, Broken English.

Boynton's current projects include starring on Ryan Murphy's Netflix series, The Politician.
